The best era for modern surfing. Boards were longer thrusters so everyone was radical yet smooth. And Brazzos were still playing soccer on their beaches and hadn't heard of surfing yet.

Physiquement un mètre cube,puissant tonique et une rame exceptionnelle ! Il a vécu tellement d'années chez nous en gironde .... Je l'ai vu en hiver s'enfiler des perles à 2m50 3m ,et chez nous c'est pas simple

Kong's style was a LOT like Cheyne Horan's. Don't know which one ripped off the other or if they both ripped off a third party's style. But they surfed a lot alike. Maybe it was just the style of the times. -- 1 single bottom turn (not 4 like today) -- being patient with the wave -- long drawn out turns -- positioning -- timing -- SPEED - real speed - 1980s speed. -- core surfing - some of the new talent lacks some of the core.
