There is no point in bringing Howard Webb on there to judge his colleagues decisions, he's not exactly going to go criticising them.

When you say Howard Webb's colleagues... do you mean Man Utd players? Even Neville laughed when Webb said "officials work with the players".

People saying Howard webb didn't answer the question, which I see their point that he didn't give a definite answer, but is there a definite answer ? Is there a deifnite speed or power at which the heads goes in which definies it as a headbutt ?? Not really, there is no definite answer. Of course some heabutts are very clearly headbutts, but others not so. The one thing he did say, and all he really could say is that if you bring you head towards another player then you run the risk of being red carded ...

Tbf people don't realise what it would of been like to be answering the questions as Howard Webb, remember he can't show any form of bias against of for any players he has refereed. Of course secretly he'll know which types of players get into trouble and look out for them naturally, but can he say he does this ?? of course not as he would not be refereeing the game as a neutral.
@chrisoconnor322010 жыл бұрын
He can't show bias!!! Are you for real? Every match he refereed he was bias, he know the effect his decisions would have on the league table, all in favour of his beloved Man Utd. He done his utmost to help Utd. Wake up, he was fergies 12th man ffs

As much as I love Nevs and Carra and would love them to tear into Howard Webb, football refereeing is an impossible job. As is the job of the linesman. It's a massive pitch with 22 men on it, things happen at a million miles an hour. The only way to truly make it fair is to take human error out and allow complete AI refereeing to take place, full replays during the game and all. Of course this would ruin the flow and football would not be football. I hate referees most of the time and their relentless stubbornness, but they have an impossible job. Football is impossible to officiate completely fairly and impartially unless technology is brought in. But then every game would take about 3 hours and it would ruin the spectacle. All I wish for is for referees to have a standardized set of beliefs and rules. You see some refs letting all sorts go in some games, and in others refs dish yellows out for every little thing. Just be consistent, that's the best we can ask for.
