Gary Numan was the critical link for me to my crossover synth/pop when I was 10 mostly listening to R&B and Disco. I discovered Kraftwerk and many other artists. And then came the 2nd British Invasion with Punk, New Romanticism, and New Wave and that led me to artists like Human League, Talk Talk, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears....
