Love how Christians usually conserve their native traditions whether in Papau New Guinea (with 840 languages), or Nigeria, or Mexicans, or Philippines or Ethiopia or Colombia, or Iraqis or Copts or Maronites, you name it. Thankfully, the Westernised form of Christianity didn't take their roots off of these groups. These resisted. Even now, I've seen how Arab Christians are forced to adapt to Western Christian influence despite the fact that they existed long before Rome was not even Christians Same goes for Saint Thomas Christians of Kerala who fought against Portuguese colonizers in the Coonan Covenant. It's such a trend to Americanise these days that most of the urban crowd in say my city like Nagpur, are ashamed to speak Marathi in public and have treated the native tribal "Gond" people as excluded. Despite the fact, that the entire region of Central India being the place of Scheduled Caste Mahar and Scheduled Tribe Gonds. Happy that all North Eastern Christians maintain both the Western traditions as well as stay true to their roots.
