45:30 The farmer he is referencing here is the late Masanobu Fukuoka and the book is 'The One Straw Revolution' if anyone wanted to know. A lot of no-till people are really heavy into Fukuoka's work. Also, another author's name I should mention is Ruth Stout, she also was greatly influential with her similar techniques involving deep mulching with spoiled hay.

I am trying to switch my small plants into a medium like your soil but I cannot find any sand that is not too dense. All the sands I have found is dense so that when it gets wet it gets hard and water can't get through. Is it ok to use vermiculite instead of sand for plants that need to stay moist? Can I leave out the sand for the other plants?
