Wow this is a great song. Too bad he's been largely forgotten, but in his brief peak, 1973-8 he produced some of the best stuff ever recorded in country music.

Gary Stewart had the ability to make you feel every word in his songs. Some of us lived most of what he was singing about. Drinking, dancing, divorces, cheating and getting cheated on. All great country songs have at least one of these in it. Think about it. Gary covered all of them in his music. Thanks Gary and RIP.

Gary was and always will be the king of Honky tonk music no one can touch his sound very few people can sing his songs in the way he did I wish I could have been his manager because who ever managed him was not worthy of it the shit that happened to his music should have never happened to someone who was that talented goes to show you how Nashville music seen sucks it lost it’s country roots years ago it wasn’t all of Gary’s losses that done him in sad we lost him in the way we did he will always be number one the honky tonk 👑
