If only his records sounded better; the shallowest, muffled things around. Still, he did alright chart-wise for a while. It’s said Phil Spector was impressed with his free-wheeling ‘party’ atmosphere on many of his records - ‘’Not Too Young to Get Married’’ certainly reflects that.

From Steve Hoffman: "The way Frank [Guida] recorded was to bounce from a mono machine to a stereo machine back to a mono machine to a stereo machine and back to a mono machine again. The murky sound is due to all the bouncing. If the song "ended" on the mono machine, the master was in mono. If the song "ended" on the stereo machine, the master was stereo (by accident). When Columbia cut the 45's, they used whatever tape was "final", played back on a full track machine. If Bill did a CD, he used what there was in stereo. I did a Bonds Greatest Hits LP back in the 1980s. Some of the stuff was stereo on there as well. This is a great case of "stereo by accident"!" Note: Guida just happened to have one mono machine and one stereo machine. If he had two mono machines, he would have done the same. LOL.
