+mhaíre 99 Some of the dialogue from this sketch was lifted straight from the Scotland Yard episode entitled "Bullet From The Past" (1956). "Sgt. Scott" became "Sgt Stunt"

Love this take off of the old Edgar Lustgarten’s series that used to turn up as part of the programme at the cinema.

They are on Talking Pictures these days (Channel 82) Tuesdays at 6.30 p.m. and occasional repeats on other days (September 2024). The plot of this one Stanley does here is taken from the 1956 story "Bullet From The Past" - even use some of the dialogue from the script.

Wen I lived in Brockley south East London Edgar Wallace had lived Five minutes away in large, three story house in Tressillian close didn't know who he was, had a plaque out side the house, Then saw his stories on TV wasn't a lot to choose from, so wen I see Stanley Baxter takings the piss , it leaves me laugh ing so much, the Guy is talented and so Brilliant 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤

Michael Grade who was at London Weekend Television ended Stanley Baxter's shows because they were so expensive to make, despite telling Baxter he loved them.
