Interesting video again Gary :) I wonder if those two steelyard weights will need to be reported as Treasure in England and Wales from this October. I guess they will need reporting within 14 days and the FLO can decide if they are treasure, which I'm sure they will not. Might be interesting to see a video on the new Treasure Act and what it means for ordinary detectorists.

Getting warm here in Southern California, we've actually been pretty fortunate for this time of year. It will be creeping into the 90*s SOON! Then that time of year when its 100*+, gettting to old to be detecting in that anymore. Gone are the days of nugget hunting in 110* weather!

89 degrees at 4:30 am in the morning here in NW Arizona. Soon as the sun comes up it’s low, middle 90’s by 5:30 am. You’ll be surprised in what you can find in 30 minutes of work. Better to work smart and stay consistent than be sorry. Make sure to hydrate be going out. 🥵

I got four targets ranging from 72 to 78 sweet sounds no grunt but iron any tips to avoid. Brought to coil slowly off the target no iron buzz . What setting could I adjust. Good video no I was using Nero I would say I have a high frequency deafness

You could always make your good tone a lower tone. Don't be worried about raising the BC reject and silencer a little on certain difficult sites.

Gary with respect yes it's a steelyard weight but they were used here for one and a half millennia. They are undateable because they all made of lead the same way and it could be from anywhere from Roman to Georgian.

I found with the new v1.1 area in an iron rich setting I wasn’t finding anything apart from digging nails! I tried lots of different settings for quiet a few hours, went back and changed to v1 and found 8 hammered coins going over where I had already been with v1.1 I’m using the 13” coil so not sure if that’s anything to do with it!
