lol I was digging a few holes like that the other day, you know when u get a good signal dig a big hole and then bugger the signal disappears. It’s not in the spoil it’s not picking up in the hole, as it’s been moved by the pressure to the side. Just got to trust the detector and keep rummaging in the hols to find it.

Wow! Absol. *Loving* that PinPoint/Shrink method Gary!! This cud be the 'Holy Grail' for me... 😆 Seriously tho', I've been using the PinPoint mode to try and gauge depth, but only by looking at the width of the rectangle after the 1st push... Of course, this doesn't discount tiny objects near the surface - but that method of yours looks like it could differentiate between the two... Gonna be owing you a coupla pints if this works mate!... 🙏 😋 🍺🍻 Take care, thanks again!! an' I'll report back if ya like? Ttfn, Bobby 🐭

Thanks Gary. Another useful tip. A few days ago i bought another Deus 11 so i can have 2 . I am going to use it on the beaches most of the time as my main beach machine. That bit of lead, I knew it was lead as soon as the numbers were told. I find lots of lead in the 70's on land. But you cant always take the chance it is something else. The next target at 59 / 60 i said button and it was. 10.50 , Thats a long Gold chain LOL The next target i said Iron and it was. I find that Iron seems to come in at the late 70.s or early 80's and give a slight buzz. The next target i thought big lead or a coin. It was a big button . So close. I am finding the Deus 11 a lot easier than i thought the Deus 1 was. I think its the tones.

Hi there Gary,enjoying all your informative videos. Have you came across “iron ore’s “ in the ground? used 3 different garret detectors and the sound they make this iron ore’s is extremely nice till you dig up and then the sound changes to a mixed iron sound…Curious if deus II see them as iron or does the same false signal as all my garret’s. Best regards
@The-skillschool10 ай бұрын
Hi thanks for your message. I have found large blons of Iron it is a product of Iron smelting. This will confuse a detector if deep. The Deus has more options to help identify it.

Hey Gary - jus' reporting back here as promised... I gave it a good go on Friday, an' tbh I haven't got to grips with it yet. I'm sure I need to keep doing it and develop a 'feel', but so far I'm just finding that pretty much *every* target shrinks on the 2nd press of the P/p button... It's possible my whole P/p technique is wrong tho' - 'cos I always swing the detector 2 or 3 feet to the side before I his the P/p button for the first time - this is because I always found it worked better that way. (If I hit the button right over the target, then it sometimes wouldn't give me a P/p reading and beep...). Any ideas mate? Tia 🙏 B🐭
@The-skillschool10 ай бұрын
Thanks Bob This method relies on the target being large(ish) coin sized. Hit the PP button while on top of the target, keep it static and press again. One tip is to keep the coil pressed onto the ground or as close to the ground as possible, don't lift it.
