Man Gary dropped so many jewels on a boogie. I hope a boogie & the team get more serious on content output. I love the music, but they could have something really special if they document boogie's personal emotions/feelings leading up to the album release. We rarely get that insight as fans. Also the mini docu-series that they did on the tba tour was dope, would be nice if they did it again.

At the end when Gary was saying the thing about the list I wish he would of challenged the manager guy. Tell him to narrow it down to 3 ideas, research them, and have them ready to propose in a couple weeks when the meet again. If he kills it something like that would be a HUGE confidence boost if he fucks it up its a great learning experience

When I listen to the things that come out of Gary's mouth I realize why he is so successful. Something's seem "simple" for a lack of a better word, but they really sound like something that would work. Like when he was talking about making a little concert where A Boogie plays for fans.

I mean... Adele does the same thing.... YES, she does live performances from time to time but she naturally hates the spotlight. But think about it: She has the exact same model yet when she shows up, she cleans house at award ceremonies Obviously, I'm a black male. I'm not an idiot- theres more of a commentary there then we can really get into in a YT comments sections. He has his base, and his base is eternal- they are not going anywhere. I'm more curious of how timeless his music is for the masses-The ones who go "Oh yeah, Frank Ocean.". That is what will make an artist last a while if they don't produce a lot of records in the in between.

16:10 - He's massively missing the point and does not understand what Twitch is. He thinks Gary's talking about getting his music on an actual game (in this case NBA 2K because that's what Boogie prefers - which would of course be awesome), rather than his music appearing constantly on top Twitch players streams regardless of what game they're playing which is what Gary's referring to.

LOL!! Classic, and there's a selfless reason why!! I just heard @garyvee tell A Boogie that he's going to put, I don't know, about 30 to 40 G's on the table for him and his team (if not more) by allowing him (and his team/choose wisely) access to the inner workings of the "How We Do It" MACHINE at Vayner!! Hope he ACTUALLY knows what Gary JUST handed to him!! I'm alive right now with the inspiration of giving back. Thank you Gary. You just ARE, no pretentious crap, you just ARE (the best)!! 👊❤👊

What makes Gary so dope is his transparency. He makes so much content giving away all his secrets that there is really no need to hire him and all it does is make more people want to hire him. LOL The music industry is about taking a risk to get on. You've got to put up your own money and use your own networks to create the initial interest but its like as soon as an artist starts getting a few checks its like the hustle turns down. Instead of continuing to create their own opportunities they start looking for people to help them get more checks. Everything A Boogie was asking Gary to "help" him with are things he can go get himself. You want to be in a movie? Start doing the research and making contact. It is plenty of smaller indie projects that would LOVE the association of A Boogie's name with their movie. Grind upwards just like you did with the music. You do well in a few indie flicks like you did well with a few mixtapes than the opportunities start to open up more. Trust the process.

After delving into Artist Management to help my brother, I'm absolutely astonished at how ignorant 99% or artists are still especially in the hip hop industry. You'll be shocked at how many artists in Denver keep thinking they have to move to LA or NY or even still pass out CD's downtown at the clubs for $10. They are DEAD if you think that's what you need to do to make it in the industry. You can become a massive star with just an iPhone today. Drake said it best, "People be like 'oh you got to go to New York to make it happen'... no you don't! That's dead now.. just do it from where you're at. Give your music to the people and they'll tell you if it's worth their time or not." And that's all you can do. If your music sucks, no amount of hustle will make you a star.

yo @gary i would say my reasons for not putting out song after song is becuz i learned this law thru plants... you can kill a plant if you over water it an actually lose value in the soil.. i took that an applied it to my soundcloud approach... Law of the harvest an great idea to build content around the music
@jeffreysafo-darko5589
@jeffreysafo-darko5589 7 жыл бұрын
Word Plaay yeah I agree. I love Gary's advice. But Gary's song after song theory isn't that effective for music. It would be like Picasso releasing a painting everyday. All forms of art require spacing
@wordplaay
@wordplaay 7 жыл бұрын
yea bro i agree as well, it all depends on the type of soil as well some need more water then others... but thats why the idea of creating content around the art is game changing gary is a game changer

Yes and no. People like to see the progression. The problem is most rappers don't progress, and even if they are progressing, too many rappers don't put out enough music for people too see the progression. People respect hard work and consistency because they can relate to it, but only if they can see it. If you released a song everyday single day for the next 2-5 years and put effort into the writing people would start to notice. If you have a high level of consistency and show yourself developing at the craft, people can and eventually will catch on. People love to feel like they can catch greatness before it happens. Its the reason why we have NBA and NFL drafts. Logic, King Los, Russ, KAAN, Joyner Lucas, Token etc.. All of those guys are where they are at because they put out a shit ton of music. If you released a song everyday single day for the next 2-5 years, and put effort into the writing people would start to notice. We are in the fun/trap era of rap, but As soon as eminems album comes out people will shift back to lyrical rap. You're job is to catch that wave before it hits by putting out consistent music every single damn day. LITERALLY NO ONE IS DOING THAT. There's a real want for an underground dark knight in hip hop from both the older and younger generation right now. If you do that you will lock down half of the hip hop community. People really want an underground rapper who doesn't bullshit, and will call out the new school rappers with dope lyrics. I'm giving you the formula. Take this opportunity before some other artist does. Don't say I didn't tell you.
@jeffreysafo-darko5589
@jeffreysafo-darko5589 7 жыл бұрын
myjciskate4 very true. A shit ton of music isn't a song every day though. But I totally get it. Your absolutely right. I admire progression as well. Great insight.
@myjciskate4
@myjciskate4 7 жыл бұрын
Exactly, that's why I said to do a song everyday because there's literally not one rapper who is doing that right now. That would seperate you from literally everyone in the industry, and you would grow a reputation and a cult following based off of that alone. You guys better hurry up. KAAN released a song 2 days ago, and just released a song 2 hours ago. He's already beating you to the punch! Get to work!

Boogie YOU need to shoot that Reese's cereal commercial. This is how it should go a small child with a yellow hoodie on sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal in your childhood home maybe show the surrounding area. The kid daydreams about performing on a stage and the camera pans away. When the camera pans back YOU are sitting at the table on a tour bus with a yellow hoodie on eating that bowl of cereal. Then YOU get up from the table and say something inspirational. You Leave the tour bus and walks into a sold out arena to perform. "Reese's has a record breaking year in cereal sales and you get paid"

What's up y'all, Gary is a walking gem and so I'll follow up on his wise words, I'm an artist, very versatile, I've been on some big magazines from elevator mag to hype mag to Montreality tv out in Canada with over a one million following. I'd definitely love to connect and work with anyone hungry to succeed and consistently generating ideas like myself. Lets work ladies and gentleman.

Wow, The idea about twitch is pure gold! Crazy how it didn't got picked up by Boogie, but I've seen this is a problem with a lot of artists. Some miss out on major opportunities, because their business sense isn't fully developed yet....

TOO MANY PPL HAVE MEETINGS WITH GARY V WITH NO QUESTIONS OR PREPARATION...... craaaaaaazy SMH!! it’s obvious he genuinely fvcks with the culture, most in his position dodge meetings like this after the first one, they don’t basically invite you to let them basically mentor YOU FOR FREE!! .... either way things and ppl in the culture like this are needed... S/O to Gary 🙏🙏🙏🙌🏿

@gary having your clear audio and their faint audio. would be almost better to just have everyones audio coming in more quiet , as at least it would be even. Very hard to listen and pay attention to this segment when your turning volume up for then, down for you every 5 seconds

I swear rappers just be in the moment, winging it. This was cringey to watch but they're young and they're going to build a huge network of people that can help them with their mindset.
