I’m not happy because we all know the ones going to benefit from these. Ghana needs to wake up and take a page out of some of the Arab countries that terminated the contract they had with the UK for drilling their oil. It’s really painful to sit back and you can’t do anything because you don’t have the powers to. I wonder what all our engineers go to school to study? Can’t they be trained so we can keep this thing only for ourselves and not involve some foreign private company who will only be giving us a meager portion of the profits. Been an African is always hard. Always 😭😭😭

This is something that we should be highly elated as Ghanaians however looking at how Africa leaders have managed our natural resources over the years, I’ve almost loosed hope in how revenues to be generated from these discoveries are going to be put to use. Ghana is always discovering some oil or gas but never have I heard that some Petroleum Engineering graduates have been absorbed from the Universities in Ghana. It hurts say this but even the ones with first class are still at home. Anytime I hear Ghana has discovered something again, I just know that someone's pocket will get bigger. Nothing changes

Why do we have to allow private sector to invest and bear all the risk and the rewards and later complain about how much we will get from the gas? We keep doing the same thing and expecting different result. See a so called expect advising government not to invest it. If government doesn’t have the money at the moment, they should wait until we have it to do so. The gas is not going anywhere. Why the unholy haste?🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️

It's sad to see private foreign companies making billions of dollars from our resources whiles we only get 10% plus taxes. It's so sad. Tullow will walk away with billions of dollars every month when they start pumping gas in a few years time.

Normally you can't remove the crude oil without the gas. Rejecting the gas into the well is possible it affect the life span of the well.....so the best practise is to pump the crude oil together with the gas and then pipe the gas to another facility for processing. Else they will just burn the gas in the air for free. As you heard in the video. At the time we didnt have gas processing plant. The gas that they were getting from jubliee field they burnt it in the air for free for 2years and that was worth $300M So for me it's better to allow the private sector to come on board build the necessary facilites to receive the gas and process it. Gov will benefit from it than allowing tullow to burn the gas.....it even an environtal problem

Ghana must not sign any deal that gives 85% stake to the so called foreign investors. Minimum should be 50-50 deal. Preferably 70% for Ghana and 30% to the investors. No need to rush for political expediency!

It's rather Ghana 10%, Company 90%. That's how it has always been because Ghana government says it doesn't have money to invest in it. But we have money to buy many V8 and give free water and electricity just to try to win elections whiles foreigners take our Gold, aluminium, lithium, oil and gas money away.

Some of you just talk anyhow keke. If gov wants 90% then there is no need to make any deal. Gov should just take all the risk and in a facilite to receive the gas and it will be 100% for gov No investor is going to risk his capital and give 90% to government. A ghanaian wont even do that unless the person doesn't want to recoup their investment a make a little bit profit.
