Hi Dr. Mike. I've watched your video on henry's law, Pp, etc. I'm currently going through a course to become a diving medical technician and the CNS O2 toxicity is something I dont understand very well. Especially the part of the increase in PpO2 is the cause of the cns o2 tox. If you could make a video or an explanation that would be awesome. If not its alright, I know you got so much knowledge to share. Thanks

Great video but there is one thing I don't understand. Why exactly does the pO2 in the alveola remain constant at 100 mmHg even though oxygen diffuses into the blood. And why does the pO2 in the tissue remain constant at 40 mmHg even though oxygen diffuses there. Like why does it not increase ?

This does not explain how gas exchange works exactly. It is NOT by diffusion it is not molecular. The Pulmonary surfactants are the organelles of gas exchange the surface tension theory is completely wrong as Bangham said about 30years ago.
@Cryingchoppa10 ай бұрын
He talked about partial pressure throughout. Gases move down their gradient. That's how the gases move across the membrane
