It may be that spain (because of spanish-german "friendship" during WW2) has dinner later because it has the german timezone. Your 9-10 o'clock would be the german 6-7 o'clock. Same with france. Because the us germans changed the time during the occupation and it was never chaged back, the french should have the british timezone and therefore have (on the clock) a later dinner time.

@@joaolemes8757 Even if it's not a proper siesta, lunch breaks in Spain usually range from 1h to 2h, inevitably pushing the end of the workday forward. Also, contrary to common belief, working Spaniards work more hours on average than their European counterparts (without being more productive). We go to work early, have a long lunch, finish work late, and have dinner also late. Thus few of us get the 8hrs of sleep we should be getting.

Considering that the name "Lietuva" - Lithuania, means "wet lands". Should indicate that country is not very suitable for tank operations. Just on main roads and in urban areas, where tanks are missile magnets. The flat terrain is helpful to gun artillery and missile artillery.

They've gotten a large military equipment pool because they were surrounded by the Soviets during the Cold War , same as a lot of Turkish equipment. It's ridiculous how people think petty barking of trolls is why nations rearm themselves. Greece enjoys the safety of NATO and EU but they also know one day , those might not exist. Obviously Greece also has this armament deposit for protection against Turkey. Though most of the reason is not that , as the most useful equipment for Greece is their navy , because the narrow Thracian Mountain corridor makes a land invasion logistically stupid. Their islands are the most vulnerable but they can't be defended with heavy armament as it would expose them against invading forces and would ve sign of aggression. Obviously Greece goes to grow their navy which would leave all their cracks covered.

In southern Italy it's quite common, but in the north it's very rare to eat at 9pm. It only happens in special cases, such as if you come home late or if you go to a restaurant and your food is served late. In the north or Central Italy it's not uncommon to eat at 7pm; I think it would have been more accurate if it said "7:30-9:00".

Great vid again! I'm not sure about the relation between dinner time and sunset. Since in summer, the sun is setting much later in the north than in the south, whereas in the winter it's the other way round :) I believe in Spain, they have a much longer lunch break and therefore they come back from home much later.

On dinner times - it's because dinner, as in the last meal of the day (except for snacks) isn't traditionally the biggest meal of the day in all countries. In Poland, traditionally the biggest meal of the day is eaten somewhere between 1pm and 2pm. Of course that's changing to the model Americans are more familiar with, with the biggest meal being dinner, for obvious reasons (ie, people work more, less household are able to afford to have one person stay at home and not have a job etc).

Turkey has 3000 tanks and Greece has a lot too. Why does Greece have so many? You just answered your own question Drew.
@minzblatt
@minzblatt 2 жыл бұрын
Well it's actually not self evident since Turkey has definitely bigger threats than tiny Greece at its borders and Russia is definitely one of them if Georgia is run over. Then there is still the whole of 1800+ km border with neighbours with unstable or failed states of whom 2 had threaten a war in the last 2 decades. As the chief head of Turkish military said "Greek military spendings are too much for their needs, too few to be a threat for Turkey". I hope for the EU the debt ridden Greek economy doesn't go belly up again because of this craziness.
@gimicio.talloni
@gimicio.talloni 2 жыл бұрын
@@minzblatt Obviously Greek tanks would not be used in an offensive way against Turkey. That is not a war they could win and they know that. Their nearly 1300 tanks serve as strictly defense against Turkey for all the same reasons you laid out.

The reason for the high prices in Mexico was because we didn’t have a way to refine the oil (in a nutshell the US didn’t want us to refine our oil) so basically we had to pay the US to buy their machines to extract the oil from the ground and then send it to the US to refine it And then buy once refines and ready to use from the US this would make the prices as expensive. However just recently we are building our own refineries and even bought some in the US in Texas so we don’t have to pay the US to do it for us and should lower the prices of oil. This didn’t made the US government happy, Biden sent some dude to talk about this but he was ignored.

@miragept 2 жыл бұрын
And then there is portugal, one of the most expensive fuel prices in europe and it is a refined fuel exporter. Being ranked 31th in the world and exporting 1.7x more than it imports. (4,285,299 export, 2,465,624 tons import, according to 2020 government agency), it is around 10-11% the price, quite close to mexico according to the map.
