How long was the total run time? Or did it die out shortly after 15 minutes?

I can't remember the total runtime but it had plenty for the lawn.

Rather than having the wire be longer than it needs to be, just use a normal cable or brake cable from a bike, from your handle down to a fixture with a lever to operate your switch or breakers (located 1in after the battery, and 1 inch before the motor)

Sure that is a good idea. However we just reused the existing wire harness off of junked electric lawn mower. For more details check out and now you know episode. Link is in the description.
