Actually, you don’t need a key to unlock the middle seat belt for the centre rear passenger (at 3:56 in the video), you use the seat belt catch that is next to it (stop the video at 3:56 if you’re not sure what I mean, it’s the bit at the top of the screen), it fits perfectly into the slot to release the belt. I had the 2018 Eclipse Cross and loved it. Just traded it in for the 2023 Eclipse Cross last week. Went for the Red Diamond, top of the range. Love it! The 2023 version now has an electric tailgate.

Red Diamond paint is as good looking as Mazda's Soul Red (which I always thought was the best red). I actually like the overall styling - looks better than most compact or subcompact crossovers in my opinion. I had a 2010 Lancer. It's interior may have felt cheaper compared to other compacts, but it held up really well. A family member has it now, doesn't treat it nearly as well as I did and it still looks pretty good.

Jeff Morse thanks! Good to hear it lasted long. I really like Mitsubishi’s value proposition so good to hear it’s not cheap but rather a good value. Hoping to try one of their more upscale models like the Outlander PHEV soon! Thanks for the info :) best, Jake

Nice review 👍 The turbo and poor mpg turn me off and I always go for the Outlander Sport. Now the full sized Outlander post cv19 can be purchased under $32k. And it gets more mpg and more room and sound deadening.

The turbo 1.5L, hmmm. It's very helpful climbing over the I-8 Tecate Divide, the I-5 Grape Vine, the I-15 Cajon Pass, the SR-14 Solidad Pass, the SR-58 Tehachapi Pass, the SR-178 Walker Pass, the SR-120 Tioga Pass, the SR-108 Sonora Pass, the SR-88 Carson Pass, the I-80 Donner Pass, the US-395 Devil's Gate Pass, the SR-49 Yuba Pass, and many other mountain passes in California and all of those passes of Western Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and ...Westbound. Who wants a turbo? People who travel the Inter-Mountain West with luggage, family, and friends.
