As I recall the die cast came about a year before the RC. The 64 scale were available in most box stores, while the 32 scale were tougher to find, however, the 32 scale big rig fits in nicely with the rest of the 64 scale vehicles. The service vehicles (military, fire, police) comprised the final series for the die cast line as Jada put full focus on the RC line. Jada held 2 Battle Machines contests, then canceled both due to lack of interest (I entered both). More recently Jada released the Battle Machines Mustang accompanied with Marvel's War Machine. I think the line was just ahead of its time, I'd love for Jada to have another go at it.

I’ve got some of both lines. The bigger cars are the size I use alongside smaller unarmored 28mm civilian figures. The narrow round front of the For Sale truck fits a Fallout themed table well.

There’s a portion of the raw video (cut for time) where I reminisce about slashing my palm open on a plastic produce container. That packaging is no joke.
