In terms of the overall paint job, I like the yellow Pinto better, but it would be even cooler if it had the bumpers that the blue Pinto had. I also love the window louvers it's a very nice retro touch. Side pipes are always cool. Maybe they should've put hotter plugs and smaller jets in the carburetor on that yellow Pinto. I'd have to go yellow all the way. By the way, you definitely made that young artists day.

My favorite is the Blue PInto I like the color and I had a PInto station wagon that was yellow of the same year blew up the 2000 4 banger in it. I put a 289 out of a 65 Mustang it was a ripper.

I like the blue one. Reminds me of the one I had with a 2.3 liter 4 cylinder, 280 Magnum cam, headers, Holley 500cfm 2 Barrel, V8 T5 transmission, and 4:11 gears. It ran 14.23 in the quarter mile. I have had four pintos and a Mustang II. I would love to find another one.

The yellow pinto is my fav. My step dad bought a 1976 yellow Pinto Runabout hatchback 4 speed manual brand new and it was the first car I drove. After I graduated in 1987 I was driving with my sister and nephew and some guy in a 70’s LTD 4 door ran a stop sign and totaled the Pinto. I have been looking for one since. My goal was to put a 302 in mine but never had the chance.

you should have had the taco event at the track. i vote for the yellow car both cars had at least one run under 15 which is impressive and i think it came down to the driver response getting the best time. if the blue team had time to put a quick paint job on the car they might have taken it.

Yea I like both pintos, I think the yellow needs a quick shift in it or they just need to shift faster than shifting like you just on the hiway. You can see on cam that they were shifting slow, I think regardless of the weight they coulda did better but both did good. Hey Richard you should see if you can get 2 pro drivers n see how they do on take off n shifting down the track to see how fast there time is, just a thought 🙂👍

I LOVE them both. Pinto has always been a favorite of mine and I have owned over 20 in my time. All models and yrs. The last one I owned was a 76 trunk model and after a whole 7 days owning it an uninsured driver ran me off the road and I rolled it 3 times. 3 months later I was hit head on at 50mph by a drunk driver. Have been disabled since and Pinto's are so rare now I cant find one let alone afford another one. I would trade that Z06 for a nice Pinto any day. Thanks for the series! Damnit I want another Pinto lol.

That was pretty cool but when were younger friends parents had a Mk2 Jaguar, 3.8 litre six manual with overdrive, no it didn't have wires. Standard these ran the quarter about 16 seconds back in sixties for a good one. Theirs was 'slightly' tuned by a Jag specialist why back in the seventies when they had the engine rebuilt. To all intents under the bonnet it still looked stock I recall, it ran a 14.7...Found out last year the bloke who built the engine was still alive, amazing. That was over here in New Zealand.
