My first race car in western Washington state was a Mercury version of the Pinto, #55, a green and white learning basic race car. When you have 40 to 45 of those warming up in the pits and the first 20 plus running in the A and B mains it sounds like a nest of furious angry hornets. Lots of good racing and good friendships were made there.
