They are playing the long game...the art of negotiation...the guy will have to move all those cars so he will call them back...there are not too many buyers to take 30-40 cars all...and he will not send them to the crusher...

I remember when I was around 13 years old I used to watch Richard and Aaron on Discovery Turbo and I was such a car enthusiast at such a young age that I used to consider Gas Monkey Garage peak entertainment. Even though I didn't know much about cars. Richard has certainly aged a LOT. Aaron is no longer around which is sad. But that's the way things are. Wish them all the best.

I had a 1982 Lincoln Mark VI , 2 door coupe baby blue with 302 V-8 and dual exhaust. It was so sweet on the highway, purred like a kitten and got great gas mileage. Wish I still had it.

Richard's comment on these reminded me of what once Kaufman said when was pissed off. "You can't restore perfection when these cars were never perfect even out of the factory" Restomoders and restaurators are what make it perfect and what actually give these cars a new life otherwise mass produced factory scrapheaps that were destined to be crushed soon as the new lines came in.

I have to agree with the walk away....even the very low mile mark cars will only bring sub 30s at best....there is alot of junk there and moister/ Animal damage.....some cars even u dump.a bunch of restoration money.....they will rapidly exceed their market value.....the seller needs to sale each car individually or in smaller 4 or 5 same car groups....

Richard you need to check out a guy named Hickmen( his last) name outside of New Tazewell Tennessee. he's got a bunch of cars stuck back on the side of the ridge. Definitely worth your time, he has a brother named Roger Hickmen that runs a small wrecker salvage place on the hill just east of the brother that has all the cars. He doesn't get along with his brother that has all the cars

@6:51 time stamp, that white Cadillac Fleetwood is either a 1974 or 75 but the seller called it a 1971. Big difference between a 71 and the 74-76 Fleetwood. (74-76 had Talisman edition/model. 71 version might have a D’Elegance model as the top of the line. )

The 58's are not just one off years. This body with some modifications was used in 1958, 1959 and 1960 calling them Mark III, Mark IV and Mark V. Later in the 60s Lincoln started over again with the Mark III as a follow up to the 56 and 57 Mark II.

Now that was an excellent walk through the 70's of land dinosaurs. Super luxury you could afford when gas was 35 cents a gallon. Cars would be great for Grads, weddings, funerals and parades.

It is not true the cars did not go through dealer prep. They are not delivered to the dealer with the wheel covers installed. They are installed when the car is dealer prepped.

I could never keep so many cars like that without wanting to finish them all. It's good that someone has the attitude to just keep them all in one place for other guys who will do something with them. Not making that deal was smart, though.
