I've been around 71 cuda's for quite a while. It's hard to find a car like that these days that hasn't changed hands a dozen times in the past decade with everyone trying to make a buck on it every step of the way. Looks like a decent car, price is just what someone is willing to pay.

That's because only idiots are looking for 'cars like that" and only fool "sellers" waited this long to "cash in" on a bottom of the "high performance" small-block smog-era slushbox rusted-out low-impact paint California-emissions "rare" 'Cudas with AC that are "valued" at double or triple what a "good" and "solid" small-block/six-cylinder BARRACUDA "economy model" can be bought for to "clone" a big-block - 'Hemi or 440 Magnum with the latter being the far more "attainable" and "affordable" and "profitable" project car to "clone" - 'Cuda only by the idiot "sellers" because.they're "already 'Cudas" and can be "parted out" so "profitably" by selling "online" all the unneeded and "rare" and "sought after" and "factory original" non-big block "parts" to help "finance" the "cloning" of the "body" into a "HemiCuda". Of course no Hemi car ever had AC, everything forward of the "floorpans" on/in a small-block E-body has to be "swapped" to "clone" a big-block Hemi 'Cuda, nobody wants a "seven two seven" slushbox beind a 'Hemi and "factory original" automatic Hemi AND 440 Magnum 'Cudas are so "rare" on such expensive engine-option "high performance" cars for a reason and you can't "make money" or "break even" or anywhere near it "restoring" much less "cloning" any 'Cuda these days unless you're on the RECEIVING END of the restoration/cloning "investment" and there isn't a "high-end" restoration shop on the planet that isn't "5 years out" on restorations already and none need or want to "make money" working for idiots that "invest" in "rare" muscle cars nobody wanted and/or needed to "acquire" for damn near 25 years and were "parked" YEARS AFTER the first - and last - "million dollar Mopar" Hemi B-bodies sold "at auction". Especially since no HARDTOP Mopar Hemi E-body has hit HALF that number even after 25+ years of "inflation".

@@youteo3596 Back in 1980 I bought a 70 442 convertible that was Matador Red with white interior. It had 110K miles and had been driven fairly hard but was overall decent paint original car. It smoked a little when driven hard but ran good. The first couple of years I drove it as it was. I drove it everywhere and had a great time with it. Then I had it apart for a 2 year restoration. It turned out great but I was afraid to drive it. I had a ton of cash in it for those times and sold it in the end and started another build. Nothing wrong with a 340, I have seen that motor take down a number of Chev 396's both Chevelle and El Camino.

same here. Would only change the color but clean, derust and polish the engine. Probs has another 100k miles in it if the engine is solid.

I passed on a 71 Hemi Cuda back in 2008 for 45K. It was in just a little better shape than this and I could have drove it home from SLC to Boise. I had the money but the economy was tanking and I just could not pull the trigger. Seeing a 340 go for the same amount of money now makes me sick.

Yeah but from 2008 to 2021 I mean that’s 13 yrs that’s a long time for an investment.

@@lucky-rowe2623 ain’t that just a kick in the head. Well right now idk if know but the Toyota FJ Cruiser ultimate edition. 2014 heritage blue now that’s an investment you can look into. Maybe 13 yrs from now they’ll be up into the 100’s depending on mileage.

The 1971 Cuda is probably the best looking muscle car for me, slightly ahead of the 70 Challenger, 68 Charger and 69 Camaro. I even dig the color and had I won one of Richard's cars, I'd definitely pick this one and have the monkeys fix/restore as much as the cash in the glovebox allows.

@@fullfunk The Chevelles are not bad, but purely from a design perspective, the 71 Cuda is the best for me.
