Wow. I wouldn't put Love that high. I think it's Noé's only bad film. The acting, the tone of the voices, the cinematography is less focused... But I see the point of the movie, and if the execution hadn't been so underwhelming, it could've been Noé's best film. He's just not good at writing dialogue. That's his flaw, which really isn't one when you think of it, 'cause his main attraction his naturalism of dialogue, improvisation, unwritten gems. Here's my top 3: 1. Climax 2. Enter the Void 3. Irréversible

i think a lot of his stuff gets lost in translation when put in English since it isn’t his primary language. i don’t see the dialogue or tone of voices as a flaw at all. it may seem kinda cringe to some, but a lot of people are actually that cringe irl, and especially when they’re in love. which aids in the relatability of the characters/plot.
