It will but I think you won't be able to use it in ranked and it won't get any kills if you kill someone as gaster(no kill works)

Tanky character with a lot of range, stay far back, block and dodge where you can, and just wail on him if you get the chance, get a big group of people for the best chance though, I had 5-6 people when I first beat him and it was tough but got it first try.
