One of my (silly) pet peeves: St. Clotilde is NOT a CATHEDRAL. Notre Dame is the cathedral. The only one in the diocese. St. Clotilde, on the other hand, is just a large gothic church. (And a magnificent one at that.) But just because it is a giant European church doesn't mean it is a 'cathedral'.
