GATE Aster MOSFET Version 2 and Version 3

Gate was kind enough to upgrade my aster V2 from basic to expert before they sent it out to me. So even though the box says “basic” its definitely an expert model with all of the fancy features. Thanks Gate for sending me these products to review!

Maybe you could make a video on this but a two part question, there is a french airsoft shop www.powair6.com/ they offer the option to install a brushless motor and gate titan in your gun at the same time, can you discuss how easy or difficult this is, possible benefits and tech issues, is this the future ? secondly it seems you are a big fan of ARES in the past, I hate the proprietary magnet sensor electronics compared to a gate titan for ease of teching, however I recently pre ordered the ARES kel tec RDB because I love the RDB. What are your thoughts on the proprietary EFCS over Gate titan electronics, the RDB as a platform and with the proprietary electronics adding a brushless motor and outer barrel adaptor to use a maxx model hopup in an RDB custom build. the most helpful video i’ve found on the ASTER v2 in 2022. went into full depth of how to pair, whats needed to fully tune and what the sub menus of the app do. MUCH APPRECIATED! slapped an Aster v2 in my g&g tr16 and with a quantum trigger and its BEAUTIFULLY fast and responsive. i have the basic firmware for the aster V2 and its more than enough to get into CQB style play. thank you again!

I was wondering if you might make a video for new techs that have common problems. Maybe for stuff you had trouble with as a new tech? For me im having trouble closing the gearbox shell. Its a nightmare. Just a suggestion. Love the vids!

hey i have a question when i did the app i accidentally put my version as basic instead of advanced is there a way to change that. also upgrading the firmware is becoming challenging it doesn’t let me go through the steps. please help p.s. when i go to upgrade my thing it says it’s already a advanced edition but on the app it says it’s the basic version.

So.... you can manually set precocking in dsg mode with aster? I have titan v2 expert, when it is set to dsg the only options for precocking is off and auto.

Can you change max Voltage to Gate Aster v2 can accept. I have problem. My battery is 12.67V when is full and its dont work. When its dropped on 12.60V works perfect... I wound change on 12.80V

What is the difference in V3 between Aster and Titan? Titan sees teeth and aster cutoff? What are the differences in the programming? What can Titan do that Aster can't?

in my experience, the only thing I’ve seen that has been a difference between the titan and the aster is trigger sensitivity levels, but other things, it’s about the same.

Hello :) Did you have opportunity to install Aster in Krytac's GB? I have heard that it not require removing bolt-catch, which is cool unlike TItan's :) But it is about gen. 3 Asters. As far as I know the revision is printed on PCB on fire selector side.

I have just fitted the aster in my ARP and it is lovely, even tho i didnt get a blue link with it it is still lovely.. But can you change the trigger sensitivity with out the blue link?

In theory, you should be able to add material to the trigger which will hit the light sensors sooner or take up over-travel depending on where you add material. It should work since it’s a common practice for microswitch mosfets/trigger boards.

Currently I’m wiring a mosfet for my new m4 build. How do you find the right wire length? It’s either way too long or too short to reach the motor

Just wish the bluetooth would be included in the aster, you have to pay extra to really get any fine tuning which is a major downside. With the quantum trigger and the blu link It ends up being more expensive than the titan :(

To effortlessly use the aster you need the quantum and usb link . The cost of these is very close the time Titan advance

Really disappointed by the video, this channel used to be a tech channel, which helped to solve certain issues, bun now it is turning in to blah-blah pre-payed videos, I was waiting to see the ways to solve the issues related to the ASTER mosfets as they aren't really reliable so far. It is quite sad to see what is happening with the channel.
