determine the storage volume of an overhead tank to balance the treatment plant output of 113500 m3 /day with the high service pumping with the following schedule: [10] 12 midnight - 6a.m. = 2.83 * 103 m3 /hr 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. = 5.68 * 103 m3 /hr 10 p.m. - 12 midnight = 2.83 * 103 m3 /hr utilize graph paper for plotting the supply/demand curves.

In question no 4 change the depth by 9m automatically your answer will correct.....

20:44 Ma'am the kinematic viscosity will be 1.002x10^-7 as the kg of Rho will need to be converted to N. Thus result of correct diameter will be 0.02 mm. This is verified as diameter for using Stoke's law should be

Unit of Dynamic viscosity in SI unit is N-s/m2 or kg/m-s...both r same...when we divide it with density(kg/m3) we get kinematic viscosity,unit of which is m2/s....so no need to multiply 10...if u still have confusion comnt on this....

For question 3 they asked the amount of solid deposit ... Means total SS - removed SS ie. 140-98=42 kg/day.... But u have written in ans as 98 kg/day can any one tell why

it says 70% efficiency that means 70% of total ss is removed hence 98(70% of 140)

+Ravi Ranjan 98 kg per day is not removed. It's the amount of ss deposited at the bottom of tank. It would've been 140kg per day but the efficiency is 70% so it's 98. 98kg per day is not removed ss . It's the amount deposited at the end of the day

In question 4 Depth of water should be 9m instead of 0.9m The answer is correct d=.21mm
