Sir, As i understand whenever a free flow, flows over any surface there develops a boudary layer. fine. whenever there is a boundary layer mass flow rate changes due to displacement, momentum and energy. you solved a problem for three compensations individually. what would be the compensation for three displacements combinely. as three exists at a time.

Sir you told that the reduction in mass flow rate is for the particles above the boundary layer but you considered the reduction for the inside boundary layer particles in derivation of displacment thickness
