Sir in Micromanometer(differential type) in the diagram ... when P1 pressure applied to left limb the gauge press of water becomes (density of water)*(g)*(del h + del z).. but the surface at which the pressure P1 is applied will also descend (del z) downward

sir, in inverted u tube differential manometer problems we are taking upper limits of column as reference and then we equating pressure in both the limbs, so as we are moving from bottom to top hence formula should be like we have to subtract gauge pressure from point A and B.

I think if we use low denser fluid in simple differential manometer, the manometric fluid (low denser fluid) will get compressed due to pressure of the fluid as the weight force act downwards. So they inverted it filled the low denser fluid at the upper side. I think this may be the one reason

Answer to your question- The lighter manometric liquid will rise up so inverted type is used as in simple tube the lighter liquid will come out in the pipe where pressure is to be measured due to its light weight.
