Oh my god this was AMAZING. Also: the fact that Dustin can only sorta sing but Gaten can BELT is so cool! It shows how much work he puts into his character, that he actually *gave Dustin his own singing voice,* and it's not just like, a comically bad one. I'm late to the ST fandom (only got really into it after this most recent season) so I didn't know Gaten started out on Broadway until just now, when I Googled him to figure out where he learned to sing like that.

Little know fact the boy who plays jack in into the woods movie plays gavroch in the le Misérables 2012 movie when he was younger and gaten played gavroch in le Misérables on Broadway

The person you're referring to is Daniel Huttlestone. Is it really a little-known fact? I don't think it is. He played Gavroche for a year in Les Miserables in London, and repeated the role in the 2012 film adaptation, and yes, he played Jack in the film version of "Into the Woods". Gaten played Gavroche in a Broadway revival of "Les Miserables" at the Imperial theatre in 2014-'15.

Give it time. He was also very good in Sweeney Todd. The problem with movie musicals is there's like maybe one big one made a year, and it has to be the exact right role for the actor. Gaten probably would not make a good Lola in Kinky Boots, for example. 😂

@@benlutostanski7755 I saw an interview where they said they wore there original costumes so they were kind of falling apart. I can't remember where I saw it now that it's been 5 or 6 months. I went to an Into the Woods OBC reunion with Sondheim and Lapine a few years ago, and the costumes were there. They looked pretty old up close!

Not refuting the Original production but i much prefer the costumes of the 2022 Revival. I like how each character follows a certain color scheme, like green with jack and yellow for cinderella and the prince!

his first ever role was on broadway, not even local theatre. you need some MAD talent for your debut role to be on fucking broadway. especially since one of his first roles was in les miserables where you HAVE to be good. so maybe don't speak on him.

@@dezzydream I’ve been a Broadway fan since forever. I know that Gaten grew up on stage. But did he continuously have training as a theater actor? No, most of the actors on Broadway have been working their whole life to be on stage. He probably works like hell but you can’t compare him to actors who went to college and took theater and actors who have been working hard for their entire life to just to be on stage for 3 hours. What I’m saying is that being a broadway actor isn’t that easy. And gaten does deserve it but you still can’t say he overpowers all the actors on Broadway. You’ll prob understand that when you see him on parade. All the amazing actors are gonna be on stage with him. You would see a slight difference of how his acting is on stage compared to others.
