He should be in the Guinness Book World Records , because I don't think I have ever seen anyone make it as big as Elvis . His music , movie's , concerts , and so many movies made about him . I can't think of anyone else that has went that far . And he still lives on through his fans. That is so awesome . Thanks for sharing this !!

.Love this series of videos. Elvis was an amazing soul on so many levels and it is heartbreaking that people choose to believe only the negative. After my granddaughter's middle school teacher brought her to tears in front of her classmates because she had chosen Elvis Presley as the famous American on which to write her class assignment, I decided to see if she was correct. Being a fan is an understatement, but I wanted to discover the man, not the image. Three years later I was forced to consolidate the massive amount of information to fit a double layer DVD, then called the principal for an appointment. My charge to him was to watch it then give it to the teacher and inform her that as an educator she ls responsible to teach based on facts, not opinions and that according to the U.S. Dept. of Interior Elvis Presley was, not only a VERY famous American, but unlike any president, was known worldwide by his first name. Since then I have updated and uploaded the videos to KZbin.

Judy Hicks this brought tears to my eyes! One of My daughters 7th grade teachers told the whole class bad things about Elvis while they were learning about him. I went up there and educated him for over one hour.

Your comment was posted 6 years ago, I don't know if you ever see this now. What you said touched my heart. I had to respond, and I hope you get my reply. I am appalled at that teacher I hope your daughter's DVD educated that teacher. Your young daughter chose one of the Greatest forces that shaped all of 20th century culture not just in America but right across this world of ours. Music, fashion, sexual mores, Elvis's music is even used by psychiatrist to treat depression, He impacted enormous changes on so many levels. Your daughter was smart in choosing the person she did. In fact, Sinatra has been quoted as saying" Elvis Presley was the embodiment of 20th century culture" FULL MARKS! for your young lady.

I've always been fascinated with the person that he was in private, more than his public life. This is a great series and hope to see more of these episodes. Please Graceland archives get the history correct-The Prophet was first given to Elvis by June Juanico. He starts giving it as a gift long before Larry came along-maybe he and Larry talked about the book, maybe Larry renewed his interest in it-but it was first given to Elvis by June-and she quotes it in her book title because of the meaning it had to both of them.
