What I have always thought was fascinating was the world's interest in Graceland..... There isn't any other entertainer, singer, actor, king or queen..or even a former president that people are as fascinated with as Elvis. All these years later people want to know everything about his life...tour his home. See his cars ...hear stories about his life . He really was incredible
@bonniebrown69605 ай бұрын
@bluez1981, I agree. Elvis is the biggest entertainer in the world. We'll never forget Elvis or Lisa. It's so sad that they are gone. The only other house I know of that's famous and they allowed fans to tour thier house was Loretta Lynn's house and her ranch. She has a museum too. My husband and I visited her ranch and they made us feel right at home. But I don't suppose they get as many visitors as Graceland does. 😊❤ I'll miss Loretta Lynn too. 😢

I visited Graceland November, 2023 and did the Ultimate VIP tour at night and saw all exhibits during the day. Paid my respects to Elvis and family. It was amazing to see in person and feel his presence and sense of calm. The Christmas decorations were absolutely beautiful! ❤

All so special. Thank you Angie and Joel and rest of EPE fir your dedication, hard work snd love of Elvis. So why then disrupt the purity of the Meditation Garden by burying Priscilla there? Regardless of all her contributions, she left Elvis. Is an ex-wife, had other long-term partners, one of them for 22 years (longer than with Elvis) producing a son, and that’s great for her but she always preferred California to Memphis and Graceland, and tied Elvis to Scientology (which he disliked). Thousands of fans are very upset stating this was their last visit, hopefully Linda Thompson snd Jay Osmond turned it around yet here comes that awful Elvis and Priscilla movie. It will not feel like Elvis’ hone anymore. Just a plain cemetery. People go there for Elvis and now his daughter. It’s sad and it will change things. Thanks again!

Elvis’ everyday dishes were Franciscan pottery apple pattern which was one of the most favorite designs along with Franciscan desert rose pattern . It WAS NOT CHINA. Franciscan also made china . I had a “ high end “ jewelry store & gift shop and flower shop and carried fine china, crystal & pottery and sterling silver. We were often called Little Neiman Marcus . It was a beautiful store and we set up many brides tables in the 1970’s & 1980’s. I would like to know who made Elvis’ china in the dining room. I also have the apple & desert rose .

There wouldn’t be a Graceland for you or others to visit if it wasn’t for Priscilla. She also handled a majority of the affairs related to Graceland for Lisa Marie even when Lisa owned it as an adult, which she approved of so she could pursue other endeavors. There’s a video interview of Lisa stating this fact. Riley has stated in her recent interview with Variety - “Things with Grandma will be happy... They've never not been happy,' she said. She went on to praise her grandmother - who was married to rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley for seven years - as a 'beautiful woman', highlighting the 'huge' role Priscilla played in 'creating my grandfather's legacy and Graceland. “It's very important to her. He was the love of her life,' Riley went on, noting that all her grandmother wants is to 'love and protect Graceland and the Presley family and the legacy.” “After Vernon's death in 1979, Priscilla Presley was named as one of three trustees by his will with the National Bank of Commerce in Memphis, which was the bank Elvis and Vernon had done business with, and Joseph Hanks, who had been Elvis and Vernon's accountant for a number of years.[1] EPE was formally set up by Priscilla in 1979.” “During the court case against Col. Tom Parker, Priscilla was advised to sell Graceland to avoid bankruptcy.[5] She decided against this because she had no plans to sell off her daughter's first home.[5] In late 1981, the estate hired Jack Soden, at the time a Missouri investment counselor, to plan and execute the opening of Graceland to the public and oversee the total operation.” “With Graceland costing $500,000 a year to maintain and without drastic action, everything that Elvis Presley had left their daughter, Lisa Marie, could be lost. Even his beloved home, Graceland. Joseph A. Hanks, the Presley family accountant since 1969, is a conservative, soft-spoken man not given to dramatics. But the facts he had just outlined for Priscilla spoke for themselves: Income was dropping while expenses were rising, and at some point the lines would cross.”

I totally disagree Pricilla should be buried at Graceland her daughter Lisa Marie is buried there as well as her grandson. I believe she’s always loved Elvis as well as he did her. Being married to such a talented person and his life style was a lot to handle for someone who was so much younger than Elvis and his life style was more than she could handle. Without Pricilla there would no longer be a Graceland. R.I.P Lisa Marie and your grandson as well. Much love from Louisville, Kentucky.
