Just played the new German mission for open beta. For anyone that hasn't played yet, here's a tip: TAKE YOUR TIME PLAN WISELY DONT JUST SPAM TANKS (you WILL regret it) it's a long mission with a lot of ground to cover and limited resources. I just finished it and it took almost 2 hours because I'm not a fool. Always anticipate enemy reinforcements. (love the dynamic weather and daytime/nighttime changes) Focus on how to minimize casualties first, attack plan second and you should be fine (and commandeer enemy tanks/weapons whenever possible. No sense in leaving an unmanned yet perfectly capable 76mm field gun with full ammo laying about. Field it, use it!)

little tip, it's often easier to hit targets with the tanks by going into direct control and using the tanks scope to aim. it's sometimes easier than to use the third person aiming. at least on close range encounters.

As a combat veteran for me I MYSELF can not get the controls to work as I see how it really works in real war. BUT I ENJOY THESE VIDEOS. FOR ME, with the guy's narrative as he works the controls it like watching a cartoon military movie or a animation replay of a battle that took place somewhere. Keep it up I THROUGHLY ENJOY Watching. I like the guy narrating. The overall quality of the animation is so good. I ENJOY strategy games so the overall look down is what I like. These videos for me are highly addictive.

As I posted on a similarly excellent channel, they should really add the option to continue the round after you've won so you can finish looting and capturing assets before you move onto the next battle (For conquest mode especially). Like the old DCG mod use to do. That would really make conquest a lot less frantic and give you the option to take better care of your units and therefore more immersion value. Honestly, DCG (zekewolff) was my favourite mod for MOWAS 1, the MOWAS 2 version sadly kinda died before really maturing IMHO, I realise they are trying to do something along those lines with CtA and this DLC, but there are some vital aspects missing. I don't have closed beta access sadly otherwise I'd be more than happy to submit feedback directly ;) hint hint.

Ah man The fact that they have put a timer on this has absolutely KILLED my enthusiasm for this game. Perfect example was that you were just getting ready to assault the Soviet positions after building up ur assault force, even holding them back for the job and bang, game over, defeated! I'm so damn disappointed in this addition cuz it wasn't there at first. Unless ofc I'm missing something here, that this is a feature in the MaW series and it's an accepted element of the game but man This totally limits the freedom to explore the game properly, to have as much fun as u want, to draw out an engagement if u want etc etc I was so excited about this until they brought that into it. I've been a COH player for years and was looking forward to trying this out for the main reason that u could take control of individual units. I always wondered what a mix of COD and COH would be like and thought that this was gonna be it, the game uve been waiting for 😫😫😫 Please tell me this is a setting that can be changed?

Ww2 tanks normally would have to stop and shoot and to steady the gun for accuracy. Raptor you have been playing these type ofngames for years but still don't know the fundamentals of tanks? Cmon man I expect more from you especially when it comes to common sense. It's not cod with the flick shots you literally have to aim at the target not in thier general direction.

Hahaha, the Sturmtiger, there was 18 of the damn things, it would have been a miracle to see anyone of them doing anything. They were bunker-busters deployed when the Nazis where losing badly, also, not a cannon equipped monster. That's a rocket launcher.

blitzkrieg is not a locked in slug fest its fast mobile combat this has nothing to do with blitzkrieg at this stage of WW2 that tactic was no longer viable for the Germans for many reasons but most obvious that they lacked the manpower tanks and supplies. Raptor would have to play far more aggressively to simulate blitzkrieg tactics.

A Sturmtiger should be all but useless against other tanks. It was used for knocking out emplacements and buildings, not attacking tanks.

Not entirely useless. The main drawback was it could not accurately hit the side of a barn, but if a sturmtiger 380mm shell landed anywhere near a tank, it could say good bye (it happened in the battle for the bridge at Remagen). But that was pure luck... so....

Late war would’ve found the Soviets attacking far carefully using all available assets such as artillery barrages, IL2 attacks and huge T34 forces with infantry and Katyusha support. The Germans would be battered with under strength infantry battalions the size of companies and platoons. The Germans had low supplies, low fuel, low ammo, fare fewer tanks with far less tank ammo meaning a lot of battles had large forces of Soviet tanks being defeated by panzerfaust equipped infantry and a PAK gun or two. Late in the war Germans would stand and fight destroying a t34 or two before retreating to another prepared line equipped with PAK guns and a tank. This battle is extremely unrealistic.

Hand held anti-tank weapons only acccounted for about 7 percent of Allied tank losses in Normandy, probably lower on the Eastern Front. The vast majority of tanks would be lossed to mines or anti-tank guns.
