I'm from Poland too and I can relate. My first PC was build from 4 others that I found near the garbage. But damn, what a PC rig that was😂 Win98, Celeron 800, 2 gb hard drive, 1 gb of Ram, and RivaTNT2. It boot itself in the matter of 20 seconds. My first ever game was Fallout1. Which I found installed on one of hard drive with a cd in the cd-rom. Original one, not pirated version. I also manage to find 3 other Windows 98s with cd keys that I sold on half of their price to some office in my city.

I also had to stand a watch to make sure a shipmate showered. We were deployed to the Persian Gulf during a particularly hot summer. My fellow shipmate was already known for having bad BO, but during this time, the heat made the problem more pronounced. It was so awful that this shipmate would air out entire deck sections and have people dogging down hatches as he walked by. Mind you, we were on an aircraft carrier. Promptly, my leadership questioned this shipmate about his personal hygiene. Do you take showers and wash your uniforms as regularly as possible. Can any of the 5,000 souls aboard confirm this? The shipmate said he did take showers and explained that he washed his uniforms with non-scented laundry pods. My E-6 said that he was either lying or actually washed his uniforms in hotdog water. Nobody could confirm if the shipmate actually did any of those things. The leadership took a look at his rack. To this day, I do not know what horror they saw, but every sailor was ordered out of that berthing, the rack was stripped, and the shipmate was written up. A watch was set, and everyone in the division from E-7 to E-1 was eligible to stand that watch to make sure this shipmate showered three times a day. Needless to say, this course of action didn't endear the shipmate to the Navy. When it came time to reenlist, he instead ended his contract and separated. He is a Marine now, and he is happy.

The Super Pershing is more weird than just wielding on more armour: Its wearing a couple Panthers CFH armoured front plates for a face and like call it a shirt. The 3rd Arm Div TRS was on some Buffalo Bill wavelengths in their thinking. "It Puts the bearing grease on its skin of it gets the 90mm again"
@Roboticus_Prime_RCАй бұрын
The Super Pershing is my favorite tank! Fun facts, the equilibrator springs were for helping to stabilize the gun, as it was too heavy for the internal system. The main mantlet addition was cut from the front plate of a Panther. The "ears" were made as a counterweight for the extra armor on the mantlet. All that required a box of weights to be welded to the turret bustle, so the turret could be balanced enough to rotate. The hull spaced armor was actually 2 separate layers of boiler plate set at different angles. The ammunition was a very large 2 piece design. I absolutely love the tank. Too bad it was probably scrapped somewhere in Europe after the war. One day, I'll make one in 1/16 scale RC to go with my others.

Your shower story reminds me of a story my Grandad told me about his time during his national service. They had a gent who my Grandad described as being unpleasant to be around in the confines of a Navy ship. He always had an aroma about him and it got so bad that he was always on deck regardless of the weather due to the funk. After 2 months at sea it became unbearable and this gent was accosted to clean him up. Under his cleanish singlet, they found a dirty singlet, under that another dirtier singlet, and under that a rotting singlet which had to be cut off him. This gent didn't shower and when his clothes got obviously dirty he just put another layer on, for two months.

Re Fudd story, Sweden *added* a brass deflector to an accessory for our derivatives... inside the brass catcher devices, to prevent the brass from bouncing back into the ejection port.😅 Tbf, imo those brass catchers do good work, but would be better with the rubber pouch cut off half way so that all it'd do would be to send the near supersonic hot brass into the ground instead of into right flank squad mates' faces 😂

We had this guy in Basic (Army 2008) Who never showered and would stink like hot baked ass and never washed his clothes/uniforms. So one day after we were out in the field dude strips his ACUs and left them outside the door to that bathroom to go drop a deuce or something. It definitely wasn't for a shower. So me and the boys decided to toss his shit in the trash. Well 3 days go by and then morning formation comes and it's this big F'ing deal because this guy left his wallet so ID and debit cards and other shit in it. And yeah straight up tossed in the trash and gone. Well needless to say me and the boys kept our mouths shut and the dude learned to wash and take care of himself and his stuff after that.

@gluever54Ай бұрын
@@devilin100 tex did not use WP against the 88, he used HE. He used WP on the infantry squad later, which IS a warcrime.
@devilin100Ай бұрын
@@gluever54 Well, the simplest answer was a simple blunder in having not loaded WP as he intended, which is again a war crime. Most of the crime is actually intent, aiming for someone with WP but not hitting them is like 98% as bad as actually doing it. Idk what the precedent is for loading the wrong shell is, but its probably not a great legal standpoint to try and defend. One of my 60mm squads once meant to blind an MGs position with a WP shell, but hit the crew. It was kind of a whole event since we had a reporter with us. Nothing ultimately came of it because there was no intent to hit them with it. They got some minor detail for 'conduct unbecoming' for celebrating the first round direct hit.
