What I learned in this lecture: The main difference between the classical and iterative waterfall model is that in the calssical model there is no feedback in between phases and in the iterative if a mistake is found we can go back to the previous phase and correct it. Even though this is the case after the feasibility study (the first phase) is done we cannot go back to it and change it Advantages(almost the same as the calssical waterfall model): - Base model - Simple and easy - Good for small projects - There is feedback (different from the classical waterfall) Disadvantages: - Again no parallelism - a phase must be finished before going into the next phase and thus we cannot work on multiple phases at the same time - No intermideate delivery - the customer does not get to see a prototype of the software and give feedback if there is anything they don't like and so they must wait until the software is finished and might not be satisfied with it - It is rigid (not flexible) - for example after the requirments phase is done we cannot go back and change the requirments - Less customer interaction - the customer does not see the product until the end

i have a question............ you say that in iterative watterfall model, feedback is plus point. but can you please explain that on the basis of feedback, each step reevaluate or redesign this step and again forward to next steps or only given feedback and move forward to continue its working?

In iterative waterfall model feedback is taken in each step and that will help to make changes in that step only, no changes will be done in previous steps. So it is similar to waterfall model as we cann't go back, but feedback helps to improve somewhat
