What he did at a young age was horribly wrong. He did not hide it. He went to counseling for two years and step down from ministry. I do believe in forgiveness as the Bible teaches us. To be angry at a person for something he has done a long long time ago is wrong. He has shown repentance for his past actions and is a totally different person now than in the 1980’s. God has used him in a great way and God has forgiven And so should we. I do feel horrible for the women who this happened to and I hope that she has received an apology from Pastor Morris and if needed counseling from someone. Such a sad story but forgiveness is hard at times but required.

Would someone help me with this? I am really struggling with the question WHY did they wait so long to bring this out? Nothing justifies his behavior, EVER. When victims come forward they are commonly attacked themselves not only by the monster who molested them but his lawyers, friends and followers. There is already a lot of shame for victims who can take many years (decades) to heal themselves enough to speak up publicly about the abuser (if they ever do heal to this point). In the Christian community when a victim steps forward the emphasis is put on them to “forgive and get over it” instead of holding the molester accountable. Victims are shamed/blamed into silence.
