Gateway Station would be a great setting for an Alien Isolation 2. Im not sure how it'd work story-wise, probably a new protagonist, as Amanda would have too much experience against the Xenomorph and it'd be less of an uphill struggle

I would prefer the second on be on a ground colony on a planet where there is a large indoor ground facility that leads to an alien world outside, helps vary the play style too

@@ProjectACHERON Absolutely! Jumping TOO quickly into the content without at least a moment is jarring. I enjoyed the Nostromo/Mother typing and beeping we are used to, but anything at the front of the video for a couple seconds (that isnt flagrant and loud or anything) is great, and obviously helps with your branding. I love everything you do and eat it up, thanks for the great stuff!

Ya know, I think it took me a couple of viewings for it to even register that they're no longer on the station when they come to see Ripley in her apartment. The dissolve and the shorter haircut are there to indicate some passage of time (and the dialog indicates that it's been at least a month or three), but her apartment looks indistinguishable from one that you might expect to find on the station. I realize that Cameron had absolutely no extra money to try and depict a futuristic Earth for a scene or two. Not to mention how much time he had to trim out just to get the theatrical cut down to 2 hours and 20 minutes. But it still would've been nice to catch a glimpse of future-Earth, even if it was just a matte painting of a cityscape in the background while Ripley clocks out of her crappy job for the day. As it stands, the state of Earth is just one big irrelevant question mark for the duration of the series... unless you count the casually bleak alternate ending of Resurrection.

Yeah I think any representation of earth would have been so bleak that it makes the audience not really engage with the idea that the place needs to be protected at all costs by Ripley

Question, why does it seem to me that it sounds like you're using a bot to speak for you but using your voice? In some videos I can clearly hear how you sound yourself but in more recent videos something has felt off.

I think you are the first one to spot it! I have been using a program called descript. It allows you to record a video and then edit it post recording with audio corrections and whole new dialogs sections. It has cut down my editing times in half and made it cost effective for me to continue recording, editing and uploading content

Point of order; I like the slideshow effect you are going for however it's detracted by the moving film scratch artifact overlay you applied. It's as if you made an 8mm film of a slideshow presentation.

WAIT! All the scenes after Ripley woke up were on EARTH? I thought they were ALL on Gateway. Where did you see that she was on Earth for those scenes?

I pretty sure Cameron says so. Time has definitely passed, she’s working on a dock somewhere and her hair has changed, it’s weeks potentially a month later. As Burke and Gorman state it’s been a few weeks since they lost contact with the colony on LV-426 which would have happened after Burke sent the Jordan’s to investigate the derelict after talking to Ripley about it. Animals were allowed permanent residence so it’s most obviously earth. The reason the area might look the same as gateway, being cramped and confined is due to the fact that at this point in history earth is becoming a urbanised slum to a degree where it’s impossible to own anything or live comfortably

@@ProjectACHERON I’m 45 and have been an Alien fan for as long as I can remember, and it was only yesterday watching Aliens again that I suddenly realised the gravity issue, I just looked past it I guess. Tried to find others asking this question online…but it doesn’t appear to be an issue that’s being discussed?
