One thing that never gets brought up, and can't be brought up, because it would wreck everything: after all these events depicted in all the movies, games, and media, imagine all the thousands of people that work for these places: scientists, electrical engineers, firemen, bread makers, you name it. "Did you hear about what happened at LV226??!!" "Hell yeah man, my cousin bartended there man! I put in my 2 weeks yesterday!" Nobody would keep working for Weyland Yutani, lol, nobody.

I forget where i heard this, but some expanded material detailed how every crew member of the Nostromo (with the exception of Ash, obviously) had some major grievance with Weyland-Yutani. I don’t recall too much but Ripley for example had sued the Company for the right to have children. Basically, the human crew members were all people the Company wanted to get rid of. They were “expendable,” if you will. So W-Y knew about the alien transmission and loaded a crew of cannon fodder up to see what would happen.

Great video! M41A does not track targets 500 km away. That would be like standing in the midlands holding a rifle that tracks a target in Scotland. It should be 500m

I didnt know engineers technology doesnt progress over the eons. Only humans go from building pyramids to advanced technology. But the engineers are too stupid to have their technology change over time. Strange. Even though their shapes, sizes and textures are almost the same. Very strange

The fact Praetorians are loyal to individual queens and would try to avenge their deaths is the first thing I've heard of a xenomorph that wasn't insect-like in nature.

It would be neat if the Engineers wanted to be a perfect organism, like the aliens, but they were unable to reach perfect. It would explain many things.

On a real world note, the US navy is switching back from screens to analogue. The screens just don't provide the tactile feed back you get from piling a leaver, or pushing a button amd has lead to, "issues".

Im going over 20 videos on this franchise. From all opinions the most solid ones are that the queen and or decon come from genetic/environmental circumstances. The best example is a bee-hive. Bee-hives when in need create the conditions for a queen. Even if it means obstructing the natural timeline.

Did the USSR not collapse in the Alien timeline? The Russian federation is a lot of things, but it's definitely not socialist.

In the role-playing game the possibility is raised that the Space Jockey is not an engineer, but rather a previous species. Engineers would have copied their technology and aesthetics. Also at the end of the video game Dark Descent it is seen that they are another species.

clearly they were here long before when they buried the machines. likely they had scouted out and made contingency for it. but over the course of time bacteria had evolved into something they could not anticipate. humans and other lifeforms evolved along side and built the needed immunity. when they came down through the lightning bolts ages later they were pretty much running outdated antivirus. ~~~ keep this in mind for the next "pandemic"

I really despise Peter Weylland. He's arrogant and exaggerated evil. He doesn't have enough nor some satisfaction with his achievements or helping humanity. He's awful. I really glad there are lots of wonderful human beings in Alien universe. Just like in real life. Nice video bro❤

My thoughts are that synthetics/artificial persons know they were created. It's different with Humans who speculate on the nature of their being. So synthetics perhaps become fascinated by the ideas of creation and controlling life. The xenomorphs are an outlet for that. In studying them, learning to control and even create as David did, they might understand their own creators? There could also be resentment at Humans, as they are an imperfect creator, not Gods or supremely advanced. Synthetics in many ways are already superior to Humans and they might be looking for ways to succeed them.

That’s a very valid point that very much subscribe to! Love your theory of the loathing of an imperfect creator. I’d love to make a short video based on that idea. Please let me know if you would be happy for me to reference your comment in that short?

What I find that doesn't make sense is, if the Aliens were here to harvest us for our blood, then why did they proceed to vaporize some of the humans? If I was growing fruit that I intend to eat, I wouldn't be incinerating it, so what's the deal with the Aliens?
@ProjectACHERON

Not sure, it could be some kind of protocol when first arriving to first cripple whatever initial resistance there is against their invasion. I guess it kind of like when a foreign national invades one for resources. They cripple the enemy and its instructors first before reaping its benefits.

Another fine contribution, if I may be so bold. And it's a good question. If I remember the details from the novelisation correctly, the reason Kane and his ''passenger'' were not frozen was because there was no guarantee that cryosleep would have any effect on the facehugger. This dialogue is not in the movie. Having seen the cyro-chamber at the start of the movie, we know how the crew are in very close proximity to each other when frozen and, also if IIRC, none of the other crew were enamoured of the idea of sleeping anywhere near Kane. On a personal level, I'd be the same! It's also apparent by now, from their observations of the Derelict and its pilot, that these creatures can survive for an inordinate amount of time in a near-vacuum, with no sustenance, never mind when they might be feeding off a host (although I'll admit they thought it was feeding Kane, not the opposite, so I might be reaching). That's my two cents worth. Thanks for another good one!

Appreciate your work and effort, Thank You. It was questions/answers like this that made Alien Romulus a worthy part of the series. And thanks for getting my name spelt correctly in your credits 🙂It is appreciated too. By the way, further to my last comment some time ago, I did finally get to see Romulus and I loved it. I think it's a worthy part of the Alien pantheon and glad to see it's going down well.
