Gateway to Ladakh - ZOJI LA | EP 4 | Srinagar to Kargil | Himalaya Mountain Range | Ladakh Vlog

Welcome Back!! This is Episode 4 of my Bangalore to Ladakh Solo Road Trip. In this episode I started my journey from Srinagar to Kargil.
I started my journey early in the morning. On the way I crossed the beautiful Sonmarg and I must say this place is a heaven on earth. Sonamarg or Sonmarg, known as Sonamarag in Kashmiri, is a hill station located in the Ganderbal District of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is located about 62 kilometers from Ganderbal Town and 80 kilometers northeast of the capital city, Srinagar.
After a few offroad patches I reached the mighty ZOJI LA Pass - The gateway to Ladakh in the great Himalaya mountain range.
Zoji La is a high mountain pass in the Himalayas. It is in the Kargil district, Indian Union territory of Ladakh. Located in the Dras subdivision, the pass connects the Kashmir Valley to its west with the Dras and Suru valleys to its northeast and the Indus valley further east.
For the first time I saw tall snow cap mountains and it was unbelievable! After spending ample time in the snowy mountains, I crossed the Ladakh border and the views just changed. Witnessing the typical Ladakhi mountains was nothing but pleasure to the eyes.
Finally, I reached Kargil and checked into a hotel which was in a nice location.

This vlog deserves many more views. We had been to Leh 3 months back. We travelled from Bangalore to Delhi and then to Leh by flight. It was a 6D/5N trip. One of the most memorable trips of ours. But I was totally exhausted by the end of 6th day due to extreme cold and high altitude. I can't even imagine reaching there by bike 😂😂😂
