I have now fallen asleep to this video 2 nights in a row, and finally made the time to watch it in its entirety while actually paying attention lolol. Its strange how quite a tough trip down the river can make for such a peaceful and relaxing video, yet here we are haha. Haha I enjoy ordering from so many different roasters! A cool company that makes grinders just sent me a high class hand grinder for our trips. Stoked to use it!

What sit in kayaks (NO SKIRT) can you use to run mostly class 2 maybe a class? (No skirt)
@GatewoodBrown Жыл бұрын
I would only recommend a sit on top for that. The self bailing nature of sit on tops make it great for running class 2 i without a skirt. Check out the crescent ck1 for that

Dude I have so many questions. I love your content and have been inspired to use a lot of your style in my own. Your videos and style have truly been motivating. Can you do a Q&A sometime? Also I'm about to do the South Saskatchewan in October and I'm dreading it a little. Should be some low water there as well. I've done my fair share of shallow river trips and they are not always fun. We'll make the most of it though. It's all about the adventure, right? You should come up to Alberta Canada sometime man and we could plan a trip where I'll take you on a fossil hunting excursion on the St. Mary's or Red Deer river sometime (look up ammolite) ;) and then check out my Red Deer & St. Marys video. Lots of amazing scenery and geology. Paddle on,

Even if the water is low the Canadian fall weather will be prime! Hope y’all have fun on that trip. I want to do a Canadian tour at some point. So many wonderful places to paddle

What was the river gauge this day. Looking to kayak it when it's a little higher than this.
@GatewoodBrown Жыл бұрын
Wayyyyy to low haha. It was at 50cfs but you really need 200+ for this river based on what we saw
@TheOutdoorSeeker2 жыл бұрын
beautiful area. Water levels were not ideal at the beginning. I would paddle that area, no doubt.

Totally agree. One of my favorite places to visit now. So much solitude to have. Really dig it out there

@@GrumpyGillsFishing we meet at the takeout, load all gear into the other car(s) and then drive to the launch. We don’t like shuttles because then you’re dependent on their timing. However, if the other option is not paddling then we welcome a shuttle service

@@GatewoodBrown you guys have been doing this a while, and it shows. Especially if you’re like me. I tend to learn from mistakes rather than research. Lol. Thanks for the tips. I can’t wait to camp on the river.
