Man since I was a kid, I felt like this system of naming is flawed. Like, for annabella it works perfectly. Ann, Anna, Annabel, annabella. But what about Thomas? Where do you go from there? Kira? Where do you go from there? Jo would work. Jo, joseph(?), Josephine, Josefina. Well, almost. I was thinking of my own name. Al, Alex, Alexan, Alexann? Alexandra. But there are so many one syllable names. Like “John”. Okay, John, Johnny, Johnathan. Maybe if you have a name that goes well to three syllables, but not four, they throw you to the beasts before then. But that’s just a theory, a book theory!
