Great explanation, I particularly appreciate the edge case explanations at the end!

You forgot the most important rule of all: the "one-cheek" rule. ;) Lol. Great vid as always. I wish I could play crokinole more often.

I've never heard of this game. Looks fun. Thanks!

To be fair, I don't think this game is widely known outside of its home country of Canada. Here in Canada, though, all of us have probably at least _seen_ a Crokinole board even if we've never actually played the game!

This is an awsome game, I've tournaments and they get a lot in the middle. I would to get this game, the only issue is I don't have anywhere to put it and you would have to polish the board after a few games to keep it slick.
@CowSaysMooMoo2 жыл бұрын
Just stand the board up between a bureau/bench/cabinet and the wall...takes up virtually no room. Also, no need to 'polish' it every few games. Just keep greasy fingers/liquids off the surface basically the only things that should EVER touch the surface are disks.....Wax every 300 rounds.

one part that's missing is what's a legal way to shoot. does it have to be flicked or can it be pushed with the finger on top of the disc?

In the point explanation after getting rid of the ones that cancel each other out they say red has 4 discs in play, but they each only have 3 discs in play and I don’t get it.
@Gillelmus Жыл бұрын
Red had scored a "crokinole" in the hole earlier in the round for 20 points. That 20 points is added to the red score at the end of the round. The red disc can be seen in a plastic tube next to the board.

What happens if you hit disk in hole but did not hit the openets disk?
@LeotheTiger1234 Жыл бұрын
I think it still scores 20 points because it made it to the center. I may be wrong.
@Alan-sf5hm Жыл бұрын
If an opponent has a disc in play but you did not touch it on the way to the centre you do not get the 20 points and that disc is removed from play.
@LeotheTiger1234 Жыл бұрын
This is almost a bit like Cornhole; that game also has the rule that after all points are scored, the player with the higher score gets points equal to the difference, and then that becomes the real score.

Here in Canada, where this game comes from, it's actually rather popular in the winter. That's when stores usually sell the most board games from what I've seen, probably because of winter holidays and cold weather.
