Are scouts impressed by the maturity of the guys who choose their mission first? Or do they look at them as making a mistake?

No doubt they are annoyed to see a guy not playing football for two years. They don’t know what kind of shape he will be in when he shows up or how much his skills will have deteriorated. Or if his position coach may have left and he doesn’t want to go there anymore. I don’t think they see any real upside to it.
