Back 35 years ago they used to have in on River Road, closing the road and it was fun then too, much smaller, 3 hours (5-8) and mostly locals.The triangle @ Mt Mall was the main light display and why I guess the held it there :) Thanks for talking us!

Mexico Beach and Port St Joe, Florida are twin beach cities (south of Panama City) that have 2 New Year events and they are 5 minutes apart. I try to go celebrate the New Year TWICE every year.

Mexico Beach, FL and Port St Joe, FL are next door to each other but one is in the Central Time zone and the other is Eastern Time zone, so you can do back to back New Year's celebrations. I think they even offer a shuttle between both places.

Awesome chili cook off! My favorite part was Duke the dog! He was adorable! It reminds me of my dog but calmer lol! My dog will jump on you and lick you all day if you let him! He’s just so lovable! I also like the mascots fighting! I think Crawdad won! That Bear was cute too! The chili looked pretty good! I would have loved banana pudding pancakes! That sounds delicious!
