Gators have a path to seven wins if they take care of home and beat FSU. Love to beat Georgia or Texas but would have to be a complete game. Not sure there yet. But certainly have looked better even offensively and the Oline. Can the Gators get better with the off week and offer a very competitive game against Georgia? Continue with this play the rest of season regardless of the results? Only way going to have a chance at some wins and a bowl game.

Great, fun win. I would like to see Florida give Georgia a run for their money. Probably won't win, but a one score loss would be ok. Texas might not be as good as assumed, but on the road, Gators doubtful to get a victory. LSU and Ole Miss in the Swamp, possibilities to get one or two wins, though LSU looks the harder to win. Finally, if we lose to FSU, Billy for sure, is gone. 7-5 is still out there. If D keeps this unbelievable turnaround going, and DJ, Baugh, and the O keep producing explosive plays and few turnovers, 7-5 is realistic. Go Gators!

My concern is Billy is gonna act like he's done something and go back to being very lax I think this is why we have issues with getting the ball rolling....with that being said this was a fantastic game I'm proud of our players keep it going boys GO GATORS

Hey Dave. I've been asking this question for a couple of weeks. It's bothering me until I get an answer. Why are the Gators the only team to switch jersey numbers every few plays? Yes, I remember the two number 3s thing but why not just give everyone an available number and avoid the whole mess to begin with? Also, could the jersey number mess be a big reason why they seem to go so deep in the play clock a lot and have to call timeouts to avoid penalties? Why are they doing it that way when no one else does? And it seems to be getting worse. The refs called out number changes two dozen times last night.

Miami and a few other teams have been doing it for special teams purposes. Some teams have their starting wideout and a starting defensive player on special teams, those two players may have the same number, which is why the Jersey has to to be switched.

@@abckids3476 okay I can see that but I don't believe much of that has changed yet. Given how lagway has played so far, he will probably have a lot to do with Napier's job. If they can steal 1 or 2 of the next 4 games and beat fsu at the end I believe he's safe regardless. that's just my opinion of how the fan base would feel.

Called it for so long here! DJL will save CBN’s job. CFB all about the QB 10x over than the NFL. Only the strong survive (QB talent) in CFB. Folks can rest the Napier firing plea, a bunch of mediocre coaches are saved with good QB, Urban Meyer no different. Get ready for the UF phase to ignite to next level

I was in the swamp and that was the overall sentiment, but the boys won the game by 28. We have to take the Ws as they come at this point.

@@armanijones231 I was very happy they won. It's that Napier was slowly winning me back until then. At that point I realized that winning this game really means nothing in the long run. And I was jolted back to reality that Napier has to be fired or we'll end up like FSU, thinking they had a coach because of transcendent QB that elevated the rest of the team.

@@charlesbartlett2569 I understand your thoughts but I don't believe that for a second. I feel, DJ was a Gator and unless he had no other option, he was always going to come to Florida. DJ was literally the ONLY reason we had a decent recruiting class last year. Without DJ, Napier would be Norvell without his QB last year. Any coach looks good with a transcendent QB. Think of all the coaches to that won national championships with transcendent QBs then never were great again.

I agree. I was pissed when he didn’t even try. However, I also realized he may have made the right move. With the momentum swing from the Kickoff return touchdown, if Lagway made a mistake they could be within one score at half time and they get the ball back to start the half. Could’ve changed the whole game so I understand it
