In terms of either power or dps, yuri's gatling tanks shred most infantry and IFVs. However, the IFVs atk take a 180° turn when promoted to Elite

Going from 25*2 up to 80*4 is super dumb on its own.. But it also gets 10% damage boost Twice and it's rate of fire goes from 18 RPM to 30 RPM !!! That's 900 Damage per minute vs over 11000... X3

There is one way for the enemy to know if an Elite IFV also has FP and that is with its splash art of the missles. FP Elite has darker smoke that showers black pieces while just an Elite IFV does white puffy cloud explosions. Good thing to notice.

The thing about the IFV that it is really a Jekyll and Hyde vehicle. Quite poor when not promoted and fresh out of the factory. But an absolute monster when Elite. 7 Volleys vs an Apocalypse and only 4 with a Firepower crate is nuts.

Not to mention their ability to specialise in roles. Get an Infantry unit of some sort in that IFV and boom, you have a machinegunner, flak, tesla etc... Which can also mean it doubles as infantry transport if you have a group of them. Nothing more horrifying than five or ten IFVs slipping past your defences with engies in them

@@MusicHavenSG A SEAL or Sniper in an IFV is kinda a good way to boost one to a quick promotion. But can be a good way for dropping infantry off for a quick hit and run

The takeaway here's very simple. Gatts => sustained instant hit gun damage vs. IFVs => burst explosive delayed hit damage Gatts have poor damage modifiers against heavier types of vehicle armor, which is why IFVs would outclass them in the first few seconds. But the Gatts have 3 windup stages. Eventually, they inflict greater damage and firing rate. IFVs would eventually look "inferior" in drawn out battles. Then, in higher ranks, rank bonuses on IFVs would outclass the gun damage that Gatts can do and all of a sudden, IFVs are gods on wheels and back on top, which is why it's always important to rank them up. Gatts can outperform IFVs also in weaker targets but the difference in damage isn't marginally big enough to give it a big win. But the Gatts do have this other trait that isn't shown here - the bullets have instant travel time - so you have one one limiting factor less. Where I see this come in handy is against fast moving targets like Terror Drones, where the IFV rockets have a hard time following the target and are better at targets standing still. And yes, IFVs run faster.

I hate Yuri's tanks as they are weaker in general, but what's great about Gatts (and the UFO) is that I can pull them around and they will still automatically attack enemy (when on the move), this is not an attribute in SU/Allies tanks. Not sure if you know what I mean

@@jonathanngai5956 Let's straighten some things: 1. Turreted vehicles here can fire on the move - rule of thumb. 2. All factions have turreted vehicles. It's just that some are better at kiting the enemy than others. 3. Going by the actual combat stats, Lashers are statistically identical to Grizzlies. So, no, Yuri's tank isn't inferior. 4. If you're using Yuri vehicles for their raw brute force (which I think you're trying to say), then you're sorely missing out on why Yuri's vehicles are a class of their own. For example, Magnetrons are excellent siege† units 1st and gimmicky†† units 2nd. † range, range, range, I can't emphasize this enough! †† you have to use your surroundings to make the most of this tank in combat (land vs. water, mind control, berserk gas, etc.)

Not sure if the Kirov comparison is done correctly, though, as the Gatling Tank's warhead for airborne units is stronger AFAIK (which can be seen with the help of the Magnetron).

I am not sure but I think Anti Air units gets increased dmg output when units are in air. So the Kirovs could have been destroyed quicker if you were have them not deployed. This is also why Magnatrons are useful with them as it lift units in air, your gatling tanks will do more damage then. Could be wrong but did hear this feature somewhere.

I never like putting infantry inside IFVs because Elite Infantry-inside-IFVs don't grant significant bonuses compared to its stock configuration. The only config most useful for me is the repair vehicle mode and transporting snipers.

@@MusicHavenSG elite ifv is obviously superior, but a green ifv gets a lot of benefits from infantry. Machine gun ifv does superior damage vs I gantry and buildings; great for early game harassment and taking out powerplants etc GGI ifv is great for hit and run tank battles vs the slower rhino tanks. You get a few hits and run, then repair up. Seal and sniper are self explanatory Chrono ifv has a slight speed increase when removing enemies. Soviet IFVs are more fun IMO: Deso IFV has the same range as elite desos Ivan/terrorist IFVs are faster but slightly weaker nuke trucks Elite Tesla IFVs have a damage output that can rival regular elite ifv. If you put yuri prime inside ifv, it will destroy groups of enemy tanks very quickly, if the ifv doesn’t get destroyed first Edit: Cow IFV….
