@@geaircraftvideos938 certainly did, I was supposed to be working but spent a lot of time watching instead, best part of working there was doing the roof on the Ops building adjacent to the runway, with the BAC 1-11, 727 and 737-200 it was a loud time 😂

747's and dc10's ruled the skies now just 777,dreamliners and a350's

Both are better and quieter aircraft so thank god for that. Especially 747s could really shake your house when they fly over

@@aerofiles5044 I used to live quite nearby Schiphol AirPort and I heard a lot of 747s and MD11 from KLM (and a whole bunch of other airlines) go over. You get used to it. But when the wind was going in the wrong direction they flew right over our house. They really made a lot of noise

@@MrJimheeren I actually live in Louisville so widebodies like the MD-11 and 747's are very regular. However I do live a fair ways away from the airport. Im presuming one of the star's goes over my house as almost always when they do they are landing.

Hi Emma, I also remember these days very well. LGW was a great airport with so many widebodies. I also loved the DC10. Great aircraft.

Been on that NW 742 to Boston. Great atmosphere back then with all the outside shops and bars. Soulless now and all u see is a mass of orange EJ

@Ian Gould, Wow I would have loved to fly on a NW 742, bet that was great. LGW had so many Long Haul destinations back then compared to now. As you say, just a mass or Orange now.

I wouldn't say that. Yes air travel has become safer but these aircraft here were far from vulnerable.

@@treynolds94 Perhaps regarding domestic US air travel. However, I am British and we've had pretty stringent security checks for decades. I have travelled the world on 747 classics, Tristars, A300's, A310's and never felt unsafe.

Wow Canada 3000 livery was similar to Air 2000

The Canada 3000 livery was exactly the same as Air 2000, just the titles are different.
