You must have been knackered after that journey. I used to look forward to going the airport but not anymore (the waiting round and the crowds are too much) Shame really because we still want to travel, but then we go on cruises from time to time.

It was a long day. Slept well last night.

We landed at 16:30 from Hamburg on the same day (2 hours late). Lots clouds around the island including at least one Cu-Nimb. just a bit bumpy at one stage but good landing. No pasport control for us as flight was Schengen-internal. By the time we got outside there had been a big shower - but as taxi driver siad, only around the airport.

That was a horrible long delay. We always take a picnic to the airport or call into a local bakery/deli before we go to the airport. I hate being ripped off by tasteless extortionate prices in there. But I do like Gatwick Airport. Thanks Steve.
