Beautiful work!✨Also, can't get over the sewing machine's feet doing a funny little tippy tap walk over the leather when it goes slower its so cute 😂

blinded journeyman thank you, that's because you can appreciate a work made by hand, and see all the process of making it. that's the main difference from industrial mass production, where the chain of work speeds up work by separating its process, so each hands and machines do only one task out of hundreds. non of them will know how to make the shoe from scratch, and that is a hole in their souls and survival. knowing the whole process is real knowledge and provides food for the soul making it and for the one who will own it. Thank you for enjoying watching

Very beautiful work. I'm working on my own Jika Tabi at the moment, by a selfmade pattern. I hope they will be as half as beautiful than yours. They look very comfortable too, so I think I will buy a pair of yours in future anyway :D Are they as silent as it needs to be for a real ninja? ;) Best regards from germany, Manuel

Alberto Pantaleoni why do you need the pattern for?
@albertopantaleoni74596 жыл бұрын
i'm trying to do one pair for myself with textile.. but the patterns I get online are for the short version, with the kohaze clamps on it. I have no "shoemaker" experience at all, I can't do a good pattern by myself. If it is a problem to give me the patterns, I understand your reasons.. I will anyway try to do them by myself. thanks
@GauchoNinjaBarefootShoes6 жыл бұрын
Alberto Pantaleoni yes, when I started doing leather tabi 7 - 8 years ago I started by cutting up a cloth tabi and copying it in leather. As it only gave me one size, I made by eye other sizes. They were terrible! But still, they were hand sewn and the one pair my teacher has is still doing its job. Then I bought one booklet with patterns that I found online. Low cut and not very precise to do it professionally. Then in Tokyo with a Japanese friend I found very expensive patterns. I bought all the sizes, made the adjustments to avoid the kohaze claps, and I'm still using them. I tell you the whole story to show you the value it has for me. Where are you from?
@albertopantaleoni74596 жыл бұрын
Nice story! So I think you found them in a shop in Tokyo, and not somewhere online.. I would be very glad to pay for them if I could only find some good patterns... I would probably need to go to tokyo again to find some... I live in Italy, near Venice, and nobody knows about these kind of shoes here.. Online it is hard to find something good. I don't know what you mean by "very expensive" but I think that if I can make a pair of tabi with the material I choose it would be priceless, if you know what I mean.. I went in Tokyo last year, and I bought a few Jika Tabis and a lot of tabi socks, but at that time I didn't realize those shoes are the king of shoes.. So now tabis are a kind of drug for me... :D Cheers
