I appreciate your commentary. It's one of the more balanced views out there. Iga's stats from yesterday's match are batter than Coco's, despite difference in how they both performed. Coco's first serves in 56% to Iga's 61%, ratio of winners to unforced errors also in Iga's favour, More aces and more double faults for Iga. She played for the first time in 2 months against the opponent she hasn't got a good record against. This too makes me think that Iga is going to win against Coco in 3 sets.

yeah I think Iga is going to win as well. There's just something lacking in Coco's game still - I looked at the highlights with Coco's match against Jes at least 3-4 times and I didnt see anything worthy of noting progress....and this is coming from a big Coco fan.

A persons mindset can change everything. Just because the H2H is in Iga's favor doesn't mean that Coco's mental toughness can't get her through. Coco is playing much better. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Coco had opportunities to take a set from IGA in their last two matches?! come on now, bro. Did we watch the same matches? She wasn't even close to having set points. Anyway... as Iga fan it is a hard pill to swallow, but I can't see a scenario where Sabalenka is not winning this tournament. Her mental compousure during last few months is simply impressive. Even with today's match against Paolini, you could smell old Sabalenka mental break in second set and I thought she will eventually lose it, but no.. she raised her level when she had to. And that's what is a big difference in her last couple of months, you cannot expect her to wake up in a bad mood or some small thing distracting her during the match even having a huge lead and screwing it all up. It's either she faces someone really good and in form or she wins. Quite impressive.

I love that our girls are getting the "big bucks" but no crowd and Saudi Arabia of ALL places for WOMEN'S tennis is just...no. Instead let's look at the fact that tennis has one of the lowest - if not THE lowest - proportion of revenues going to players. I believe it is around the 12% mark when football (soccer to Americans), basketball etc are all over 40% going to players! They can afford to pay much more (probably double or triple) WITHOUT selling out to autocratic regimes who's population have no interest in the sport!

11:19 That guy wasn’t kidding. Rybakina was so mentally weak this year and seemed very deflated after losing a match, which explains why she was so horrible in both tiebreaks and clutch moments. And as we found out, that was all tied to the injuries and off-court problems with Stefano Vukov which severely hurt her with the extended absences. The real reason Rybakina always tanked herself in the tiebreaks I feel comes down to that horrible showing against Anna Blinkova at the Australian Open. That witch 🧙 committed total sorcery and completely shattered Rybakina’s confidence 💀 and after that, the mental demons 😈 continued to haunt her for the rest of the year. A match that made history for all the wrong reasons with that 22-20 tiebreak that just set up Rybakina for what turned out to be a year from hell.

Coco can get this win if she starts aggressive, striking the ball confidently from the get go and most importantly hit her 1st serves. it will be a tough fight but she can do it. For Sabalenka against Rybakina it will be an easy win probably a 6-2 6-3 lol, Elena is too rusty and not confident enough to hit the ball at full power like usually does, this should just be a practice match for Rybakina where she should try to do her best to test her levels going into the off season honestly.

Would normally for sure say Iga for the win but she was struggling at the start against Krejcikova and she will not get away that against Gauff. Iga probably still the favourite but depending on how she plays Gauff could have a good chance here.

The only thing that can defeat Coco vs Iga is if Coco began to serve double faults. Iga is a very tactical player but Coco won't give her easy balls she can manipulate into angles. I am choosing Coco to win in 2 easy sets. If it got to e sets Coco will have enough energy reserve to beat Iga.
