"Gaun Yersel Big Man!" - B777 Go-around at Glasgow

This video shows an Emirates B777 powering away after aborting a landing due to windsheer. Watch the B777 being tossed around like a ragdoll before the pilot decides that "enough is enough" and performs a go-around, landing successfully on the second attempt.
What makes the video spectacular is that the B777 will be running on fumes when the pilot gives it "the full malkie" on those 2 massive GE90-115B1 engines to lift the craft away from those nasty Glaswegian cross winds.
Also marvel at the idiot doing the commentary, imagine getting so excited by a bloody plane!

I've watched this video quite a few times and I still love it!! I live on Glasgow Airport's flight path and also my work is on it and you can't beat seeing Emirates coming in to land. You always hear it before you see it. Love the video, Jim!!

That's what you call making a safe landing. Ive been on a flight which did the same thing at Singapore airport. It can all depend on how the prevailing wind affects the landing . When we were on the approach the plane was being buffeted all over the place and I was very happy that the pilot aborted the first attempt at landing. Mind you I'm interested in things like that and was having a good look out of the win dow beforehand ,so the aborted landing was something I actually enjoyed as I anticipated it might happen.
